Acrylic clear varnish, that's unfortunately much more expensive but works well too...

Look out for Johnson's Klear - it's the same stuff... :-)

If you are using it for decal prep, I’ve been using Krylon Clear Acrylic. It comes in a spray can and can be purchased at Wal-Mart, or hardware stores, in the paint section. It prepares the surface for applying decals very well, dries fast, and is a couple of bucks a can. I haven’t tried it on canopies yet, however.
