Jim, I put a few in and they seem to be working fine, although the first few I put in come out smaller in the gallery than on my computer, I probably am just doing something wrong.

Rob

Rob,
You aren't imagining things. The system resizes anything wider than 800 pixels. I haven't tested it to see if it will leave a pic under 150kb and less than 800 pixels alone or whether it also re-compresses the image down to 60% jpg compression. If anyone checks this let me know.

Jim, the last pic I uploaded had to be cut down to meet the size restrictions and it must have fallen within those parameters cuz it is still the same size as on my computer. Here's a question, does the re-sized image still have the same information and will it be the right size if it is saved then viewed on a computer?

Just want to remind everyone of the articles in the Features Section

Making “Internet Friendly” Pictures with Photoshop by Robert Blokker

and
Image Compression and How it Affects Picture Quality by Jim Starkweather

Very Helpful.

Jim,
is there any possibility to delete the pics (or will it be implemented in a future)?
Tks

The option is there, it took me a while to find it too. Click on a photo and then click the edit photo link. On the screen that appears, there is a check-box that allows you to delete the pic.

Jim: I just posted a single picture. The process was almost too simple and went very fast. This is a fantastic addition to the site. I chose a picture that I had re-sized and saved on my computer, but did I correctly read above that the posting process will automatically re-size it?

I know i have stored these pictures some where on this site.... now how do i find them? I clicked on gallery and did a brief search through there but did see them so what am i doing wrong?

Jim,
If I had to guess you may not have fully processed your images. If you add a new image and reach a screen after uploading that shows all the images you have uploaded to date, then you still need to click a button at the bottom that says "process images". Then they should appear in the Members Gallery under your callsign.

Cheers,
Jim

Great Jim,I find it as easy as webshots to add pictures. My digital camera lets me choose a size,so I am ready to fly with that.My attached webcam makes large pictures, but I have a free program called Zoner draw, which allows me to resize my images, and then upload using your tool.
Can we link into messages in this site? I am going to try a sample if it doesn't work,no worries.
