It looks like a "firing chamber" for the PZH2000. They use them at the factory to shoot the first shells of new vehicles to test the weapons... of course with a dummy head!!!

It is a silencer, the German Army has strict limitations on the noise it can make and has taken extreme measures to be environmentally friendly.

Well, I first thought of them as scope! Hahaaha! But I think this thing test the muzzle velocity and range of the porjectile. Of course, they can't do it in the open. It may also serve as a silencer so people won't notice what they are currently testing.

That's what the Bundeswehr would like you guys to think hehehehehe
It's actually a 20m mortar round (note, that's 20m - for METER), but it needs a 155mm shell fired from the PzH2000 to launch the bugger, sort of like the hammer to fire a bullet hehehehehe #:-)
Oops! Time to go! I hear 'em black helicopters comin' to brain wash me again hehehehe I have revealed too much hehehehehe #:-)
