Well at 4:35 this morning we here in Canterbury, New Zealand had a huge earthquake! 7.1 magnitude and pretty scary, no damage to house and home except for 1 broken ornament and some pictures on the floor but I have to report that my in progress 1/35th Dragon Panther was also sitting on a shelf and was found in pieces on the floor!
Maybe I should have finished it a year ago instead of leaving it and it may have survived.
I hope everyone else experienced as little damage as we did.

Good to hear you/re all right. Plastic can be replaced.

I hope everybody there is OK Neil, and that the damage is minimal, except for the All-Blacks training facility. That could be destroyed.

Cheers, D

Yeah, that was a bit intense. The constant aftershocks are a little worrying too. Work is closed for a couple of days so perhaps I will have a chance to finish off that 109 campaign entry.

Yep, it was a good one. Kids are still a little tense and we all bedded down in the lounge last night due to the aftershocks. In the end we were luckier than most, little damage and no injuries.

Could not imagine what that event felt like. Glad to hear casualties were few.

All the best to all over that end of the modelling world.

Just goes to show the value of building your city on an active volcanic plateau like us clever Aucklanders did instead of an Earthquake faultline like Welly and Chch.

I guess the all important question is did Acorn survive and if not is it lootable ?
