Very good, but remember:
If they are out-of-stock with something, either cancel all back-orders or be prepared to pay additional postage when the item comes in. Most of the complaints I've seen here are about unexpected shipping charges. Call them up, they have a toll free number if memory serves.
If they are out-of-stock, ask them when they anticipate a re-stock. If it's not too long, they will hold the rest of your order and save you $$$.
Orders above $199 are free shipping.

They are just average. Nothing to rave about in my opinion. Actually I think they are a little slow. But just my two cents.

Hi, Dean, I did not know about MyAtomic.com and thank you for the suggestion. With ehobbyland.com out of business, they look like a great source for kits.
But comparing them to Greatmodels or any other "full service" Internet retailer is comparing apples to oranges. MA, for example, carries almost no PE and no resin at all. GM carries a wide selection of kits, accessories, styrene and resin.
Communication is the key, IMO, to a successful relationship with them. I have ordered many things, and have had no real problems, but I usually call them to make sure we're both clear about something.
I wish TankRats.com had HALF their communications skills. I'm out $40 to them, and they won't answer my emails or phone calls.

well guys i write this with a heavy heart, I placed an order with them a couple of months ago and became a member, the price for the photo etch kit was great, but like 3 weeks ago
I spoke to maria about dragon kit 6303 about a price match because atomic was out of that kit she matched it, I said I would call back. I NEVER DID then a week and a half later she charged me for the kit I did not clear this. anyway I called to cancel this order and I was rude sorry to say. I was mad they charged my card with out my permission. any way maria said she could not do anything about it cause it had all ready shipped out that was a lie ,I got the fed ex tracking info and it states that it was called in at 9 30 that am and i spoke to her at 7 30 am her time and she told me it shipped out the day b4. then she told me the she didnt have my cc number because the order I placed b4 was threw paypal another lie I checked my cc statements and they have charged me b4 on this credit card . so just fair warning to all of you. I dont like to see fellow kit makers get ripped off. so I disputed this with my cc company. so will see what happens.

It's REALLY expensive when they short you $40 worth of stuff. He called me and asked me to be understanding 2 months ago. Since then? Nothing. I've emailed, phoned at least three times, left messages on the contact part of his web site. Nada.

Thanks, Jonas, maybe you can move him to do the right thing. He's had time to set up a new phone system, but not fill (or refund) the backorders he has.

Hello,
I just wanted to chime in to this conversation. I have been dealling with Mission Models in California on and off for close to 10 years and I love them. There prices are average, there shipping is quick, but there product knowledge is increadible. I have never had wierd charges or any B.S. like this. There web site is slow but thourough.
Check them out, give them a call. You will be pleased with there product knowledge and willingness to aid you in navigating your purchase.
Nothing is worse than calling up some " Super Model Store" and having them act like they are doing you a favor to help out with your order and take your money!
