I have searched plenty of companies but I can't seem to find one that makes a model of an AC-130, only the Hercules.
I'm looking for any size scale.
Anyone with some info?
Thanks

I asked the same question in the Aeroscale "Modern Aircraft" forum.
Apparently there aren't any current issues of the gunship out there.
But I was at a model show this weekend and saw two kits - a Testors 1:48 scale and an Italeri 1:72.

I would have bought the Italeri but my son was begging to go and I didn't have time to look in the box to make sure it was complete... another day. Didn't see a price on it either.

The 1:48 sticker price was about $80

Italeri is the only show in Town, They make a 1/72 and 1/48 scale. Also if you can find Airfix's 1/72 scale that is the Italeri reboxed.... There used to be one by AMT/Etrl but good luck finding that one. I have the Airfix 1/72 scale and the Italeri 1/48 scale.

Had the Italeri 1/48th scale and sold it after realizing it had raised panel lines... Really not my cupa tea to torture myself rescribing such a HUGE model

You wouldnt have to rescibe all of them. Alot of the c-130 is raised. there is a lot that is sealed so it has a slight ridge to it. For example on the whole top of the wing only the life raft panels would open for regular maintenance and would not be sealed, however the dry bay covers are sometimes sealed except for the middle part where we open them to inspect, other than that everything elase is sealed on the whole top of the Airplane to prevent water from entering. even the Formation lights are supposed to be sealed. So all in all there wouldnt be a ton of rescribing to do. Get yourself another one and I'll help you through what is not raised. I've been looking at them almost every day for 15 years, so you can take that for what you need too...

If you'd like something smaller, Minicraft does a couple of versions in 1/144.
You could also get lucky on ebay and find an OOP 1/200 Hasegawa kit.
