In Europe, I think the most important weapon was the T-34. In the Pacific, the Gato-class submarine.

The most effective tool used to bring an end to WW2 was fire delivered by aerial bombardment. The weapons system that did the task most effectively was the B29 Super Fortress.
From a logistics stand point the Jeep contributed the most to bringing an end to the war.
