hi everyone i am new to model making so have no idea . i have got 3 2mtr x 1mtr mats of astro turf mats does anyone know if it would be of use to someone and if so would it have a value thanks for you time john

Welcome to the site, but no need to post the same question three times.
I take it you're referring to a grass mat which railway modellers use and not proper synthetic grass ("astro turf")?
I've no idea as to the value of either, however I recommend in the case of the former to look in the railway section of your local hobby store (or look online at a company such as Woodland Scenic or Scenic Express - Google for their sites). In the case of the latter (i.e. proper synthetic grass) try your local hardware store.

It will look nice in front of the door and you can airbrush "WELCOME" on it.
OR make an American Football diorama and build a stadium around it.
