Heck. I bought a pair of red wings and they only lasted the usual 6 months. Delivering molten aluminum and scrap metal takes a heavy toll on the foot wear. Even now as I'm on work comp. I put alot of milse on and still get 6 months. Cheaper to buy a new pair than to resole them.

Last fall, I bought a pair of LL Bean Bison chukka boots for $109 and last month their snow boots for $90. Back in the day when I was running, I was paying upwards of $70 a pair (1990 money) for running shoes. My bike shoes, mountain and rod retailed for over a hundred a pair, but I got them about half off.

Well I wear Tan Boots and I carry a black bag with my computer in it so does that match? I also carry my wifes purse when she shops. Whats the big deal? Do people really get hung up on things like that? Anyway back to the main question. I usually buy good leather boots where I work and they will cost over $200. You just don't skimp on a good pair of shoes!Come on guy's , do we really want to go talking about spending money on shoes , got you all beat![]()

I think you missed her point. She's a woman and she's telling us she's got us all beat in the shoe purchasing department plus she gets matching handbags. I know a female first sergeant that doesn't think anything about dropping $300 on a Coach handbag and then gets matching shoes.

Nah I didn't miss her point at all. I just wanted to point out that everybody can do that if they so choose. I didn't mean to make anyone upset about it.Quoted TextQuoted TextWell I wear Tan Boots and I carry a black bag with my computer in it so does that match? I also carry my wifes purse when she shops.
