Which movie themes would you nominate in your top three? Mine would be:
1. ZULU John Barrie (I don't think he has ever done a BAD music soundtrack)
2. 633 Squadron Ron Goodwin
3. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Ennio Moricone
What do you guys think?

Magnificent Seven, hands down.
Also some great war movie music:
Patton
Longest Day
The Great Escape
Bridge on the river Kwai
One of my favorite all time movies, Kelly's Heroes, has one of the most lame soundtracks. What was with that pop song, Burning Bridges?

Some of his best:
Jaws
Midway
Star Wars
CE3K
Superman
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Empire Strikes Back
ET
Empire of the Sun
Hook
Far and Away
Born on the Fourth of July
Schindlers List
Jurassic Park
Saving Private Ryan

Adagio for strings by barber - (platoon)
The theme from Gladiator
and last but not least the theme tune from once upon a time in america (the pan pipe music)

I kinda like Last of the Mohicans the music they were playing when Uncas and Cingatchgook went after the bad Indian who stole his girlfriend. Liked Conan theme and the everloving TOMMY especially the overture. One of my all time favorites is "Bittersweet Symphony" by the Verve. Used it at the end of some movie about a couple of vicious teenagers (one was Michelle Geller)

That music is by a band called Clannad. They are from Co. Donegal in Ireland (same as me). One of the OŽBrennan family has made it really big now ... maybe you have heard of her ... Enya?
My favorite soundtracks are
Good morning vietnam
Maximum overdrive [Who made who album](AC/DC)
Mission impossible
Whats love got to do with it (Tina Turner story ... and especially "river deep, mountain high" and "Proud Mary")
IPMS Stockholm

John Williams is a musical genious. Anything he writes and conducts is gold. On a side note, I also like the music from Highlander.

I agree, was just talking to Dixon66 about this yesterday. Hum a few notes of that 25 years ago and you'd clear the pool, especially at night.

Anything John Williams and Hans Zimmer. Also the Band Of Brothers theme song. I also love the ending scene of Full Metal Jacket with the Rolling Stones playing Paint It Black. Awesome stuff.

Jurassic Park
The Speed movies
Black Hawk Down
Broken Arrow
And I cant believe no one has mentioned this one The Rock. Simply the best soundtrack i've heard, been listening to it regularly for over 2 years. Anything by Hans Zimmer is quality.

Just thought of another. I wouldn't call it a soundtrack but the music that is played during the shower scene in "Psycho". Very creppy and whenever you here it the scene just pops into your head.
