Anyone knows of a cheap cam that can shoot very tiny details on a model? I need a digi cam that can be a webcam and has an LCD screen. Do you know of any cheap ones?

First we need to determine "cheap".
For all the features you're looking for, something like the Fujifilm FINEPIX2800 is one of the only ones I know of that's of descent quality with a fair price. About $320.oo

Features: 2.11MP 6X Optical Zoom, 2.0 Effective Pixel, Web-Cam, Motion Picture Capture Digital Camera

You can see more of it here Fujifilm Finepix2800

I bought the Canon Powershot A70, 3.2 MP, $299. Has digital and Optical zoom, Macro mode, LCD screen, has the ability to take movies (don't know if it works as a web cam tho).

For me works great for taking pics of my models.

I use the FujiFilm FinePix 1300 - the predecessor to the 2800 - and it cost $250. I get fine (no pun intended) results from it.

Hi:

I bought a new Canon Powershot A70 (3,2 megapixels) two months ago for u$s 250.- Itīs fantastic, it has a lot of creative posibilities for taking pictures and a very good macro function to get close ups with fine detail. I recomend it to everyone who want to take fine digital pics.

You might want to check out my post here - https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/11911&page=1

It's about mid way down. When not in school, delivering pizzas, or modelling, I sell cameras. If you have any questions, feel free to post them or fire me a PM.

PS - You guys who got the Canon PS A70 are VERY lucky. The store I work for (a large national chain), has had EXTREME difficulty getting them in, and when we do we sell them out in a matter of hours.
