@ Thom: Nice set up, I like your paint booth. Do you have any plans on them?

@ Ron: Your table is just too clean it makes mine look like a garbage dump nice set up.

@ Tony: Your eye glasses look like mine, your paint booth is just basic enough that I might be able to make one like it. My sister-in-law would be happy Nice set up.

@ Terri: Your work bench is close to mine only cleaner. How do you produce those beautiful WW I birds with that small space

@ Scott: Dont you just hate it when those pesky parts are pieces fly into the bed. My bed is as close to my bench as yours, that is the first place that I look for any missing parts. Your paint shelf is sooo! much nicer than mine.

Thanks Robert

This is half the size of what I used to have at my old place . Used to have a 10 feet long by 3 feet wide counter top as my work bench with shelfing as well fo other items and the kit stash . Where the stash is now will have to get moved . Nedd the space for other things .

It more like things falling to the floor and getting eaten by the carpet monster.

Scott do you think a campaign where we build what ever we can with only the stuff the carpet monster gives up would be feasible

Wel,l in this world of political correctness Camogirl and I don't have a "man cave" but more of a modelling area along one side of my Bedroom. Unfortunately we are having to live in a 12' square room at my parents, so we have to make do with this for the moment.

The airbrush set-up is located downstairs in the utility room.

Sam does have plans for a purpose built model room with desks for each of us when we finally get our own house

No matter how big or small our areas are as long as you enjoy what your doing then that is the most important thing.

btw. SWMBO has a room twice the size of mine for her hobbies

Robert: Thank you as for the plans to my spray booth I could make some up and send them to you if you'd like, the base was made from a computer desk sold at Ikea.

terri: I have to agree your small space does not limit you in creating those excellent pieces.

Matthew Q: Thanks I built it this past spring and have not put an exhaust on it yet, but like my Jedi painting master Matt Toms I only spray acrylics and at low pressures. Your space is very impressive something I still would like to strive for someday, maybe if I ever quite the rat race and open a lhs....

Hey I can dream

Cheers,
Thom

My workspace is on a dining table that I made a few years back. It sits 10 people comfortably (for our family gatherings), but for most of the year I use about 2/3 of it for my modelling and my wife sits opposite (occasionally) to do crosswords or scrapbooking.

Cheers, D

Yeah but look at all these photos. Like I said about myself, no matter how expansive the space available, everybody gets the real work done in 1 square foot in front of them!
I'm your "Jedi painting master" Thom? Thank you sir, I am honored.

Here is the view looking into my workshop. About 1/2 of my basement area (700 sq. ft approx).

Here is my workbench. Current project Trumpeter KV-1 with add-on armor.

Here is part of my stash. Sssssh! Don't tell my wife about the two or three or four other stash areas.

Here is my spray booth.

Here is the queue of work in progress kits waiting for painting.
I am impressed with many of the other workbenches no matter the size.

Here's mine. A little messy at the moment as I just came off a long build spree. Thanks, "Q"

After seeing Matt Q's I now have a goal in life!

(I swear at first I thought it was a hobby shop with the glassed cases.)

A humble but tidy (OCD at it's best) workspace in the corner of the basement.

Brand new cutting mat

Airbrush and compressor

Highly recommended vertical storage solution

Oh yea, my stash is on the table that's it.
