I love opening the box, then checking the decal sheet that usually gets the grey matter stirring,. then the whole build I love it. I find I worry about the paint job because that can make or break a model in my humble opinion

For me the building is definitly the more enjoyable part. I especialy enjoy scratch buildiog parts and using scraps to build needed modifications. Painting time is ok but I definitely seem to slow down on any project once it reaches the spray area.

I enjoy the whole process.
Busting plastic : opening the box,and unbagging the sprues.
Data collection, grabbing a referance book, with pictures, just to make sure the manufacturer didn't royally screw up.
Assembly, there is no more fun than watching the sprues become depopulated.

ZEN MOMENTS : I enjoy painting roadwheels and assembling track. This is usually an all evening job. There is something zen like, sitting, gluing track,or hand painting the rubber part on one roadwheel of 24 or more.
General painting, since I have a permanent home and setup for my airbrush and paintbooth,it is very easy to set up and go.
And the end, when it is all decalled, and dullcoated,I now take digital pictures to store on line, and send you all to go see. (++) (++)

For me I love ALMOST everything about the build. I love the opening of the box, the preparation for assembly, & especially the painting & weathering(It makes me think that a young boy like me just did something a few million people in the world has done). What I don't like are the ROADWHEELS. They make life boring, making you repeat the same proccess over & over again & when you get done, nothing much excitement. So I do a little thing i like to call "mass production". Instead of building roadwheels individually, I remove all the neccessary parts together, clean the seams of those parts & assemble them together & paint them together just like in a production line. It makes me think that I am working a bit faster.

I truly enjoy each phase of making it ... from opening the box to the final touches. I love priming and painting most of all
