Jeepney: Great! I'm glad that you can drop by. Even better if you can bring some of your Armorama colleagues.
GIBeregovoy: I had thought the warm welcomes were an acceptance that I was already part of your esteemed Armorama group. Seriously, I am honored to be part of your group! After you guys show up & meet the other members, it will only be a matter of time before they join in on the Armorama Filipino Forum.
Blitz: Likewise, the honor is ours.
Hope to see you all on Sunday.

Warthog: The Club has a lot of plans for the future, establishing Chapters is one of them. Talk to us. Join us. We are not what people think we are. We're all modelers. Hope to meet you soon.
fiawrc: I'd like to also to meet you guys...Do you have plans of establishing chapters, for instance in Paranaque coz I live there? As much as I'd like to go to UP and join, my schedule is currently too tight....(family man kuno). Thank you very much for extending the invation to join IPMS Phil. More power to IPMS Phil....

Same as Warthog and Blitz - more power to IPMS.

I second Warthog's query: any possibility of a Paranaque chapter? I live here as well, plus tight schedule - class on Mondeee, class on Saturdeee, only rest time is Sundeee (which is family time as well). I'd like to go someday but UP is just a weeeeeeee bit far for me.

Perhaps membership via internet, say IPMS-Phils (Armoramaniacs Contingent)? :-)
BTW, do a majority of IPMS-Phils (BAC) members know more-or-less about this site?

Whoa! Whered this thread come from? I couldnt log on last night and am pleasantly surprised to see this today.
I remember some of you now (although I dont know if you remember me). Ive talked to some of you even, like Jeep. GI, we talked at length about that dio of yours. Brilliant work. I was even shocked at the cost of that grass. Hehehe!
Hope to see you guys on Sunday. There may be quite a number of people going around, so please look for me or Hunter. Wed be happy to show you around.
Fritz, do bring models, please. Were always excited to see kits during meetings. Dont worry, were all amateurs in the club. Modeling is a dynamic learning process. There is no peak, only room for improvement.

Can somebody update us on this Sunday's meeting. I hope you guys don't mind. Since IPMS will be having "The Bert Anido Cup" somebody from Armorama should give us a full account.

That be then the Mission Objectives of Fritz (and probably Jeep and/or Crismag as well) hehehehe :-)
BTW, Fritz, do take pix (I know I know, you still don't have a digital camera - but maybe ordinary film would do, and then have it scanned...).
Buck: Hehehe I see that we've met in person before then. Yeah, I too am still a weeeeeee bit shocked by the cost of the grass - fortunately had an uncle to support that end of the project hehehehe. :-)
BTW, to Buck and Fiawrc, do you guys know the builder of the Su-33 that won in the aircraft category of Motorex last year? The Flanker being one of my favorite fighters, I just loved what he did to it! IIRC, he mentioned he used a conversion kit to convert Academy's Su-27 to an Su-33 and vacuum-formed the canopy. I unfortunately wasn't able to ask him more on how he did the canopy. His Su-33 was one of my favorite subjects in Motorex (that, along with the M109 Paladin with engine and other details - now that was damn great!).

I'm really sorry but if our "ordinary camera" was just functioning properly I would've taken pics of my models long, long ago in the house near the Mental hospital.
Jeepney would surely come, he may have a functioning camera or better yet a DIGITAL CAMERA.

Hello Guys,
Fritz: You're most certainly welcome on Sunday. And to second Buck's post, we are always keen to see what other modelers build. I'm sure many of us can learn a thing or two from you. It's always a 2-way exchange with us & in time you'll be better than the others. Don't be shy to introduce yourself. You can look for Buck or myself & we'll take care of the intros.
Blitz: We will surely post photos & an activity report in our website. I can understand how you feel being on the other side of the globe (always hungry for some news back home, 'di ba?) It might take our supreme webmaster a few days to upload the photos & report but it will eventually get there. Kung mainip ka sa paghintay, drop me a line or post a reminder here. I'm not as young as I used to be & sometimes can be forgetful. Thanks for the kind words, too.
Warthog / GIBeregovoy: Many thanks for the nice words of support. Setting up chapters is indeed in our plans. May I suggest that you talk among yourselves & arrange a weekend when we can meet? We can talk about our plans with you guys. A cyber-chapter has also been discussed before but I do not want to preempt the club on this. Anyway, it is always important for people to meet before proceeding with agreements and plans. We have 2 members who come all the way from San Pedro, Laguna & they attend regularly. I don't know how they do it but I can always ask them.
GIB: I'm not sure now but you may be referring to Leibgott. He fancies Israeli military hardware, that's why he got that callsign. In the group we also call him by another nickname but it might be politically incorrect to post it here. I also remember you asking me before via email for any photos of the Nationals. I know one of our members took photographs but I haven't seen any myself so I don't know if it came out at all.

Fiawrc: With regard to the photos, I saw some - mostly of the ship entries - on a ship models website (forgot the name - one of the bigger ship website, maybe ShipModels.com or something like that). Then there's Crismag's Yahoo album, and IIRC there was also from another website I think the dio of the F-14 being refueled by the KA-6.
My problem really is the lack of time, with distance coming in a close second, on why I can't attend any of the IPMS meetings. Perhaps someday.

GIBeregovoy,
Yes, next time is fine. Modelers are always welcome.
That dio of the F-14 being refuelled in-flight won the dio category.
I suspect there are more photos of the Nationals in somebody's private collection. Don't worry, it will surface eventually & when they do it will be posted in the website.
Can you enlighten this uninitiated what IIRC means? B-D

Fiawrc: Sure! :-) "IIRC" means "If I Remember/Recall Correctly. On the meet to discuss on chapters and other stuff, perhaps maybe during the holidays. I hear GMA gave us all (or is only applicable to public offices?) a long weekend. Perhaps one of those days, in neutral ground (i.e. somewhere accessible in terms of distance for everyone - JMN/Harrisons, or something like that). Hmmm... come to think of it, perhaps yet another round of...
...OPERATION GRAND MK.1 EYEBALL! :-)

GI & Hunter,
Hunter's right. BOTH the Su-33 and the Paladin were built by Liebgott/JBoy, one of our finest builders. The F-14/KA-6D dio was built by a collaboration of about 5 IPMS-BAC members. But the concept was the brainchild of our Prez --- Chopper.
I know Ive got a photo of the Su-33. If I find it I'll give it to you, GI. Maybe I'll ask JBoy to join this forum and explain the canopy.
Btw, an EB would be nice, indeed!

GI,
Thanks for the explanation. I learned something new today! Yippee!
A first meeting at JMN's would be fine. Please arrange it & let me know perhaps a week in advance? I'd like to ask some of the officers to be there so we can discuss things sensibly otherwise puro models lang pag-uusapan natin. All of them are working stiffs so would need time to coordinate schedules.
We can probably meet in JMN & wait for everyone to show up then move to another place where we can talk. Talie might not appreciate our crowding her shop. Besides, baka mapabili na naman ako.
Let me know please.

Aye aye!
Ok, tentative dates would be 27th and 29th of Dekabr. That be a Saturday and Monday respectively. Perhaps lunch time. Let's call this one Operation JiMiNy cricket. :-)

Oh, oh! We can't afford to lose Buck, so let's make it 29 December okay?
Buck: Besides I'm sure you will be busy on the 27th finishing your entry for the 28th right? Nyahaha...

Hunter,
What entry? Im going on the 28th for the fishballs. Hahaha!
GI,
Please dont cancel 27th on my account. If the majority is free on that date, we should set it then. I shall have to assert my authority in the house and compel the wife to accept that I have to go on the 27th --- by buying her expensive gifts. #:-) #:-)
