Ive belonged to this site for alittle under 3 weeks now and ive done and learned more stuff then I have in 18 years. I know how to blackwash, weather, the rights and wrongs to building a kick butt model. I would like to thank Armorama for teaching me all this stuff I now know. Here are the 3 Models Ive built...

3 models in 3 weeks, WOW. It took me almost 2 months to do one. Your models look good. When I first came to this site I knew how to glue the pieces together, brush paint details, and base coat with my airbrush. This site really shows you the advanced techniques and provides the information and support needed to take this hobby to the level of works of art. Congradulations on your models.

Looks pretty good to me.

BTW, that last tank is a M41 Walker Bulldog. (Don't let the treadheads around here know that I know that. They'll expect me to abandon cars and start building tanks or something equally absurd soon.)

You're doing a great job 19Delta. I'm lucky if I can get one kit done in 3 months let alone 3 in 3 weeks. Keep up the great work and keep posting these projects so that we can see them. :-)

You're doing soooo much better than I did with my first few models. Before long you'll be doing your first photoetch details, aftermarket track, resin details, conversions.....it's a treacherous path we walk :-)

And Tim, if you know a Walker Bulldog by one photo then you can't be a stranger to the tracked side

Great job. They came out very well! I too wish my first three were of this quality.
The construction looks solid and well done, seams are good, panel lines are nice. You drilled out the barrel of the 50 cals.
The finishing looks very good, correct colors, nicely weathered etc.

I took about 10 minutes of looking and could only come up with one little thing - the periscopes/vision ports on the Walker could use a touch of semi gloss black. If you do a search for periscope in the forums you'll see there are a lot of different ways to do this. Some guys put down a layer of dark color, then a layer of clear blue. Some cut out 35mm film bits to act as glass. Lots of options and its easy to address.

Well done.

eh, That just happens to be one of the 2 tanks I ever built. Put on a big spoiler and painted it bright pink. #:-) Thus my DSB ministry assignment in my sig line.

Whats Next??
I have a IDF M113 Fitter cooking in the oven. I dont know what else Im going to do. Everytime I go into the hobby shop to find a model I see something and then think back to here. I tell myself oh someones done this already and Im not going to be able to do it better then they did. So its alittle rough...

Those 3 models look great 19Delta!!
It appears they were done by a seasoned veteran, not a "newbie". Keep up the good work and welcome to Armorama. :-)

Hi 19Delta

If that's what your first 3 models look like, please accept my formal surrender now...

Lovely stuff!

All the best

I have half of the hobby shop in my closet! Do not worry about not doing something as well as someone else. Continue to strive to make each model an improvement over the last one and as your skills increase your capacity to move into new areas of building also increases. Looking at the models in MMiR or Afv Modeller continues to adjust my goals upward. So, use those great great models and modelers that have gone before us to show us the path and not as obsticles.
Also go to the shows available. The level of work and comeradery is very high and exiciting.
This is one GREAT hobby, WELCOME.
