Hi all, I am heading back home to Jersey for the weekend and was wondering if any of you know if Highway hobbies /Rt.17 and Ridgefielfd Hobbies/Grand Ave are still in bussiness. Thanks for the info in advance, GO Giants, milvehfan

They are both in business. I have yet to get to Ridgefield Hobbies so can't comment on them.
Hi-Way Hobby's kit selection is so-so but their paint and equipment selection is good. They have a lot of miniatures if you're into that.
Hobby Hut in Pompton Plains also has a decent equipment selection and a fair amount of Tamiya kits on the shelf.
Zeppelin Hobbies in Wayne has a huge equipment selection, a good paint selection, but a poor stock of kits.
Kenvil Hobbies is the best I've found for kits and equipment within a half hour of my home in NJ (Butler). He carries Dragon, Hasegawa, Tamiya, Eduard, Airfix, Revellogram and more.
I have to get to Ridgefield one of these days.

I wouldn't waste my time with hi-way hobbies, more arts and crafts then models.Try Maplewood Hobbies in Maplewood, nice mix of kits and supplies.Ridgefield is good also.

Heck yeah - if you're coming down Rt 80, definately jump off for a detour to Kenvil. That would be my first recommendation.
