I'm looking at purchasing some kits from an online retailer. What are the common and best ones to purchase from? I'd prefer retailers based in the U.S. but overseas are fine too.
Thank you!

Hello Austin,
I have used with good success the following:
greatmodels all types
squadron all types
freetimehobbies all types
dragonUSA all types
modelexpo mostly ships, tools, paints, etc.
paciicfront ships
tankratsafvdepot 1/35 scale vehicles
whiteensign ships,paints, PE
If you are looking for the best prices, Just check around the sites. Most offer free delivery after a set price sold. The best advice is to just check around for what you want. and what you will pay for it.
I hope this will help.
Cheers,
Bruce

Lucky Model and Hobbybuy have worked great for me. Usually much better prices than I can find locally, with the shipping costs included. Like Bruce said, shop around for the best prices. You will find some killer deals from time to time.

Lucky Model, Hobby Easy, Squadron, and Great Models are very good. I find alot of older and newer kits on E-Bay also. Just have to watch some of the prices and shippinf fees on E-Bay.

Ditto here. Lucky Model, Greatmodels, and Sprue Brothers are all good stores.

LuckyModel (I only trust "in stock" items) have the cheapest stuff but it ships from Hong Kong (about 11 days to US)
Spruebrothers is good and they ship SUPER fast
Tankrats- I bought a few items that were not in stock and they took a bit but It was all made up to me in the end. Good customer service.

Thanks guys. The prices, and especially the shipping, is horrendous on eBay.
I went on the DragonUSA site and it didn't appear to be a retail site...only the company website???

your right about that.. the price doesnt look so bad until look at how much it costs to ship it.

This may have already been posted, so forgive me if it has. I realized a few days ago that Models by Mickster is going out of business. Everything in stock is on clearance. MxM is a fantastic online store. www.modelsbymickster.com
Also, I had a great experience with Great Models recently. We had a bit of a mix up with an addition I wanted to place on an order, but they fixed it right up with no problems. Good, easy communication.
I can't say enough about these two stores, as well as Sprue Brothers. All three are great places to spend money!

Couple days ago I ordered the AFV Club T-34 Special Edition and HobbyBoss AAV (newest kit) from Lucky Model. They had the cheapest prices.
I thank you all for the response because I probably would never have bought from them.
Thanks again.

I have had some great deals from Jadar Hobby Shop in Poland. The kit prices are very good and postage rates are terrific. Because I live outside Europe, they drop the 22% tax from the kit price. Most of my orders have only taken 4 days to get here, far better than the internal postage in Australia, and cheaper.
I have also used Modelsforsale in the UK, again, very good kit prices and great postage rates, they also drop the VAT from the kits.
Good luck.
Cheers.
