Is ModelX worth going to ? It's just down the road from me so I see it advertised every year ( never been before as I wasn't making models this time last year ) but I was told it's mainly just trains and boats.

Its held in the West Wave Recreation Centre Henderson.

In past years it caters for all hobbies - radio control, model engineers, patchwork, model trains, model boats but IPMS Auckland always have a stand and sometimes vendors are there selling kitsets etc.

Would I travel from Christchurch for it? Tough call but IMHO I think you might be a little disappointed. Its not a full blown model show unfortunately.
