Hi Gary

1/35th is a popular scale. Thats my preference easy to work with & huge range of modelling topics.

NZ online shops or overseas?

Cheers

Sean

Couple of things I've found that are very useful :

Florists foam blocks at The Warehouse for $4.99 - makes a hell of a mess when you cut it so best done outside. Good for filling large areas and I like it for figures as I put wire in them to hold while painting and that can then be inserted into the foam.

Plaster of paris preformed rolls. Available anywhere that sells train making diorama stuff. It's a rolled cloth impregnated with PoP, just cut it to length, wet it and form it how you like. You can build up layers and smooth it out with a brush. Good for hills cause you can mould them out of scrunched up paper. Amazing what you remember from 30 years ago watching your grandfather make hills and tunnels.

Cool thanks for the advice. Once the hills are set what is best to use for the base coat before I glue the ground cover on?
