Hi All,
It’s that time again! The New Jersey Historical Miniatures Associates (NJHMA) is holding their annual show, Expo, on Sunday March 29, 2009 at the Wayne PAL in Wayne, NJ. Doors open at 10:00 am and will have all the usual Expo events: vendors, speakers and competition.
This year, we’ve re-written the contest rules (it’s still an open judging system) to give a better critique of an entrant’s work. For the first time, entrants will get feedback from the judges about what was good and what needs to be improved. There will be a seminar on the changes on show day at 11:30 to further explain the changes.
We hope to see you on the 29th and would love to see your work. Also, consider doing a stint as a contest judge. You’ll be a better modeler for it.

Regards,
Georg Eyerman
NJHMA Vice President
Chief Judge NJHMA Expo

i just got back from the show. there was few armor and some figures, but overall a very small. there was an alpine stand, i dont know if it is alpine the company or just a guy who only sells alpines. the prices were alright. i found one table that had some old stuff that gave me a good price, but other then that i didnt see much. to be honest, i was pretty disapointed, especially for the half a tank of gas and the 6 dollars to get in

I also attended this show and i had a great time
i also got the opportuniity to judge which was a first for me.
I really learned alot about what the judges look for when judging
a model.
It was a great learning expierance.
The vendor's were mainly figures but there was a pretty good
mix though of all the other subjects.
It was fun and i am looking foward to the next show in our area.

Regards

Well, have to say, the shows was certainly smaller than previous years, but it certainly was great to see old friends and modelers I've known since the land of hair and real teeth. They've gotten a little grey along the path of life too!
I picked up only one figure, and then only because it was discounted so much I couldn't pass it up. Also managed to pick up a few Hudson and Allen items.
I'll post photos of the show as soon as I can.

Horst------ next show is April 4th, at the same place--- NJIPMS show.
