Hi Guys

Got a quick question?

Where many of the major towns in France bombed in WW2 or were they mostly left alone. - i'm not sure

I'm in the middle of building a french cafe and wondering if it would be correct if it was battle damaged.

Cheers
Graham

Probably Paris was spared, along with a few other historical towns. I honestly don't know, it depends on where you cafe is located. I mean, what town?

Ola Graham

A lot of small towns like on the country side were fully intact during WW2. other places like the surrounding area of a harbour/trainstation/factory would be bombed and every now and then a bomb accidentaly landed on the wrong place. If you do a cafe that can be placed on the country side or a small village then you can do it undamaged if it`s not on a country side then you still can do it undamaged... .I mean why not is there a rule for manufacturers that say: Hey big city building = ruin ... Village building = not ruin. I for me like to see more intact buildings just as more civillians

I say built it intact

Graham,

I am with Robert on this one.

Even if a big town is bombed that this will not automatically mean that the whole city is completely destroyed.
And to be honest almost every company is creating destroyed taverns, community houses etc. I would like to see also more intact buildings.

Hi Guys

Many thanks for your feedback

Actually its funny you say that - i am doing both, I am going to specialise in intact buildings, but the reason i asked is that some people i have been speaking too would find it hard to create the interior of the building, and lets face it its alot easier to create a bombed out interior of a building, i think thats why most companies produce damaged buildings because of the lack of interior pieces,

With my cafe that i'm doing i'm actually going to include wallpaper and flooring for the interior with the kit and also clear plastic sheet for the windows and any outside signage.

I have a number of building coming out over the next few months so watch this space.

Cheers
Graham

Hmmm, Graham you make a point:

I think that you just mentioned a market position that needs to be filled.
Like you said there are a lot of building kits out there but almost no (affordable) furniture and household stuff. Why do you not create a line in that, to be honest I believe that (if the price is right) this would sell better then buildings!
