Love it. Great to see what someone with talent can turn an E-25 into. I can't wait to see what you'll be building for the What If campaign!

Guys,
I appreciate the kind words- I am enjoying this build.
AMPS Nordland (South of Boston, USA) members are building E-10's and E-25 what-ifs basically as a scratchbuilding/converting exercise. My friend Tom Masterson lengthened the hull on his- so I decided to widen mine.
The base model is the 1/35th scale Trumpeter E-25. Everything white is styrene (Evergreen or Plastruct). I split the lower hull down the center- front to back and widened it by 0.6". All the suspension details were shaved off and repositioned. The front idlers are from the ancient Tamiya King Tiger. (The motorized one).
The ball mount for the gun was an interesting component to make- I went to a craft store looking for a plastic ball to use. I ended up using a Christmas ornament. It was glass- so I filed it with Alumilite resin- and then smashed the glass leaving a nice resin ball.
I'll post some updated pics soon.

Geraint,
I appreciate the comments. The octopus pattern contrast has been toned down a lot now through the weathering steps.
The main gun is intended to be a junior version of the rocket projector used by the Sturmtiger, mounted in a Brumbar style ball mount. The armored collar around the gun was an idea I got from the Ferdinand. You may be able to see some damage to the collar, the ball and the front armor... it will show up better when I paint it.
The pushbeam on the front of the hull is supposed to resemble a wood beam- I made that out of styrene too.

This is really nice, quite an original "what if." It looks very lethal.

Lydon, Ant, Scott & Darren-
thanks again for the encouragement! I'll keep posting updates.
If you spot anything you would improve- or can think of any details I should add, I'd appreciate constructive criticism as well.
Darren- Feature Article? The interesting part of this build was that it is just one of five E-10/E-25 conversion projects being done by AMPS Nordland. Can I do an article on the group build with all 5 models as the backdrop?

Steve you can do that and you can mention who did what, but I can only list one person as the provider of the article.

Guys-
here is an update. I did some more weathering today-
I also added a small bin to the rear deck (right side), and a jack (horizontally between the exhausts.
The barrel may not be staying- just seeing what it looks like. The impacts on the front of the hull are easier to see now as well.
Hope you like it- let me know if you have some suggestions or criticism. Steve

Love it! Great work guys!!!
I'm gonna (try to) build an E-25 Kügelblitz for the What if campaign. And I have two E-10s in my stash too, together with an E-100 and a Maus II turret. I really got fascinated by all this what if stuff and the great thing is, you have so much freedom to do modifications.

Hey John-
your E-25 hull with Kugelblitz ball turret will certainly work! Two weeks ago one of the guys placed a Panther F turret on his E-10 and it was close to fitting.
...and like you said, it is a "What- If" so you have all the freedom you want.
In the mood to use a specific technique- you can just go for it.
When you start working let me know if you need any E-25 parts.... I have a few left-overs.
Steve
