Hi Guys

Just wondering if any of you could help me with a cobblestone query???
Trams tracks were layed in cobblestone streets all over Europe as we all know...so....

Where the cobblestones just cut away for the tracks to be layed, leaving the cobblestone pattern to butt right up to the tram line

or

Is there a edgeing to the cobblestones where the tram line is,

also where the tram tracks sitting flush with the street or were they sitting slightly proud
(If anyone has any closeup pics of tram lines set into cobblestone... too cool )

I know lots of questions, but i know you guys will know lots of info re this

Many thanks in advance

Graham

Here are a couple pictures I found right off. The black and white one looks like the rails have been pulled up and the groove filled in. The little color one would be better if it was bigger. Still looking... Hope this helps (some).

Ok guys I have probably the most bizarre pic with the tramrails of all..

NO DON`T LOOK AT THE ELEPHANT WHAT`S UNDER IT`S FEET IS IMPORTANT

This is at least how a lot of old Tramrails look like in different old cities of holland. like amsterdam, Rotterdam, the Hague and go on

Faust, I have seen it all now. Obviously not the latest DML/Dragon Elephant... Come on. How are you not supposed to look at the elephant? LOL Good picture of the track, though.

I assume the photo from Faust was taken on a trunk route.
