How'd you individually detail the colored buttons in the instrument panel? Something I really wanna learn to do...

Very wonderful work Crismag! (hmm... how come my post here in this thread 'disappeared'?

)
I wish I can paint even a fraction as good as you.
Aircraft cockpits (*shudder*)... great deterrent for me to build AC. I think I'll stick to closed-hatched armor in the meantime.

one thing that i think helps me to do these small details i think is my background in car modelling where i really spice up the details in the dash and the engine

and of course my being an artist also helps a lot ( graduate of fine arts major in PAINTING ;p )

Hehehehe! I think I should also study fine arts

Because of our nerves, they produce uneven pulses which makes our arms vibrate specially when we paint tiny things. Crismag, sice you are an artist, why not share some of your talents like giving us tips on this and that. Your skills will be greatly appreciatted!

To steady nerves: stop reading FHM et al in the banyo #:-)
What brush can you recommend cris? Medyo mahal kasi ang sable brushes. Gamit ko yung micro Chinese brushes na worth 12 pesos

right now im using just two kinds of brushes for detail painting, john medyo mahal nga pero you will really need the super fine tip brushes like .00 or .000 that can be bought sa hobby shops for 210 i think, and i also have the more cheaper tamiya hobby brush worth P80 lang, pointed tip din sya pero medyo malaki. for large area brush painting, i use different sizes of flat brushes na cheap lang (can be bought from national, price ranges from P30-80 lang ) , these can be use for drybrushing too

for really super fine detailing like painting instrument buttons sa cockpit, i use chinese toothpick

one advice: dont use your fine sable brushes for mixing colors para hindi masira agad, use toothpick or the cheap brushes to do the mixing

:-) Nice cockpit, you have a touch of a pro. That's one thing good in Monogram, the cockpit are well detailed but mostly its a raised panel lines. Tamiya has a scriber tool but its very difficult to scribe the panel lines, you need to make liha.
