For me it's having the TV on. I generally don't watch it though. I'll even put DVDs on and not watch them. I remember one day when I put Disk 1 of Band of Bros on. I know I changed episodes and disks as each finished. The next thing I knew I'm putting Disk 5 away in its case and realised I hadn't actually watched any episodes.

I'll be glad when the cricket is on TV. Just listen for the cheers then watch the replays.

Cheers

I like to model nude , except for a large women's sun hat, in the backyard, listening to Gregorian chants.

I seem to have a high turnover of neighbours. Guess they don't like modelling.

Just kidding

Tunes, must have tunes, preferably rock.

As to cleaning off the work bench, maybe once a year I can discover the actual top of it, but then where would the fun part be of discovering that part that you had to scratchbuild 'cause you lost it???

Recently I have a huge stereo installation on my room. With very loud music (Hardstyle/Hardcore) I work best. Untill neighbours come complaining

I always clean up after a session
I always "zoom" my models around as they get built (Im 31 and my wife finds it hysterical)
I always, and I do mean ALWAYS drop the smallest part, so it skitters across the wood floor making a sound so attractive to the cat she comes in and bats the piece further away
Music is a must, as is an adult berveerage of some sort
I cant buy a new kit without opening it immediately and sorting through it.
I like to build in my PJ's on weekend mornings with coffee as well.
