Hi!, Guys
I purchased some Milliput about 8 months ago, I decided to use it as a filler
but, it seems that the Milliput is almost hard as a rock, Any Ideas on how to
soften it?, I heard that water works well, but, I wanted to make sure first.

Cut equal pieces and rub them together between your hands. They should soften from the body heat. Water will allow you to smooth the surface down ince you've applied it.

Prowler, first of all let me say, I LOVE MILLIPUT, secondly there are three different grades. White, Silver and Green. White, if I rember correctly is the finest (please correct me if i'm wrong). One thing you can do with it it is use it like baker's dough. In othere words roll it out into thin sheets (I use around knife handle for this) To stop it sticking, I use plenty of (unperfumed) talcum powder. It is useful to roll it on a plastic or metal surface (or anything non-porous) because it has impressive adhesive properties.... It is such a versatile material that it seems a shame to use only as a filler..... Good Luck, Jim (++)

Noodles:

Sounds like you have had some bad luck.

Milliputt and other epoxy putties must be mixed in equal portions to work correctly. A tick I learned years ago was to slice off a piece of each stick (A and B) about the thickness of a thick coin. Cut these in half, then cut the halves in halve. Roll these quarters into little balls --they end up about the size of BBs. Then -- once everything is soft -- mix one BB of part A with one BB of part B. When it's an even color, apply it where you want it. Smooth it with a wet fingertip or cotton swab.

Once you get the hang of it, you'll use Milliputt to fill lots of stuff. It will be dry enough to wet sand in a couple hours and hard enough to drill and tap in 24 hours.
