Thought is people were interested so I post a link here with some vids of guns in action, dont ask me where those crazy yanks come from though!

http://www.stoutguns.com/video.htm

When you get a window to install sound pic that, it usually comes when you load the movie.

This oughta be something to bite on for the silly shoot'em up games, except the Day of Defeat Module for computergame Half-Life, wich has best MG42 sound yet

Right on! dude!

Day of Defeat has got to be the best WW2 based first peron shooter game yet!

It's even got those German voices...Imagine yelling: "Grenade!" in German...^_^

Yah! I really love Day of Defeat. Other players can download it here:
http://www.dayofdefeatmod.com

The most recent I've found is still in Beta 3.1 and size is about 128MB

I really like that mod! Too bad, I'm playing them only with Sturmbots.

Anyone had played Medal of Honor? That's another good WWII game. How bout Battlefield 1942? Good but I don't like it much
Lonewolf, wanna play DOD?

What`s this day of defeat thing actually where you gusy are talking about????

Is it a standalone game or is it an extension of Halflife.... I sure like to hear more from this as it looks really cool.

It's a Half Life MOD...

Try it...You'll love it! ^_^

You'll get to re-live the sniper scenes you do on dioramas..^_^

And the Normandy Landings....Ooooo..Cool...

I find it better than Medal Of Honor...

You'll get to chose sides, either Allied Forces or the Axis...

And like Team Fortress, you choose a character class...

Each class has a unique weapon...

Good Luck! ^_^

That's too bad! You already miss a half of your life! If you have played Medal of Honor, Day of Defeat will blow you away faaaaaaaaar better than any mods in Half-Life. It beats all WWII games at the market. Try it, you'll love it!

A Gun salute to the creators of Day of Defeat and also to the creators of Half-Life

If you're playing on LAN, illegal copy can be used (I'm not endorsing everyone to make illegal copies) If you're playing on the Internet, you need an original one.

Day of Defeat is a teamplay based mod for the Half-Life. Sort of like another game with same controls. If you've played this already, you might find it different from other Half-Live mod. One, it is the only mod with fog which makes long distance impossible to determine friend and foe. 2nd, weapons aren't accurate as possible. Try shooting the M1 Garand and the recoil will bring you upward. You can pick up thrown grenades back to your enemy. Sounds are as accurate as possible (and very loud!) Try it with a subwoofer! You'll feel the action. 3rd, some of the maps are recreation of the famous battles like operation Overlord. Too bad if you're alone, you need bots. Sturmbots are the best (and I think) the only bots for DOD.

MOH is great too...

Since the crosshair is kinda small, I could easily hit targets in the head with one burst from the MP40...

Can also play sniper without a scope - sorta like the "White Death" dio somewhere here in Armorama..

It's great...But I'm having problems with the controls...

Medal of Honor is good too but the weapons are downright accurate so I don't feel its realism. The characters are too slow too and no prone command
