I was wondering what size copper wire, soder wire, brass wire, rubber hose, etc.is used for super-detailing brake lines, hydrolic lines, air lines etc. in 1/35 scale models.

And where is a good place to get this stuff from, either local or online would be a great help in furthering my enjoyment in modeling.

I think this is the next step for me besides OOB kits have gotten old. And I need to peak my interest alitte to keep and interest in this great hobby.

Happy Modeling

Tom:

You probably have some wire that you can use for models laying around the house.

Speaker wire, telephone wire and old lamp cords all have copper wires inside. If you feel the need to go out and buy some, head for the jewelry section of the hobby or craft store and get a spool of 32 gauge, 28 gauge and 24 gauge -- they ought to cover most of your wire needs. Hardware stores also have lots of wire, including stiff steel "piano" wire, which I like to use for grab handles and antennas.
