Hey I saw a discussion abou this sometime ago but I wanted to let everyone know that is not aware that ampersand publishing's website is no longer available. It has been this way for weeks; I had wanted to subscribe to MMIR online but to no avail. Anyone know what's going on?
Thanks in advance.

Might want to wait and see. MMiR and other Ampersand publications are a touchy subject and the future of the company is not certain, in the eyes of most modelers. Missing Links has scores of threads on the subject, most of them ugly.

If I were you, I'd keep my money in my pocket.

What Bob said! MMIR is a very nice mag...when it gets published. Personally I just pick it up at the LHS when it's published, or order from one of the online shops. That way I know when I spend my $$ I'm actually getting the product.

Mr. Leeth,

We are alive and well and publishing on a regular basis.

Contact us at [email protected], or 561-266-9686.

The new website will be mmir-magazine.com when it comes online in about a month.

Please define.

Monthly? Bi-monthly? Quarterly? Semi-annually? Annually?

Whenever you get around to it? Wait a minute ... that's not regular.

Pat, you're a nice guy and I love your pubs whenever I buy them, but your publication schedule is anything but regular. I am the editor of a weekly newspaper. If I had your publishing history, I'd be living under a highway overpass.

See, there is this thing called a deadline, which must be met no matter what gets in the way. And you never, ever, announce anything unless the finish line is in sight, i.e., "Son of Sherman." How many years have we waited for that?

The only reason I am even bothering to take a swipe is because I have friends who have sent in subscription money expecting to get a product back on a "regular" schedule. I have also considered subscribing several times, but after hearing the waiting-by-the-mailbox-for-months horror stories, I am glad I procrastinated. I still pull them off the shelves at the LHS whenever they pop up, but I would never subscribe.

Sorry, man, but that's the way I feel. You must have a trust or inheritance or something on the side, because I can't believe you make a living with just Ampersand.

To Andrew: Caveat emptor.

Glad I am a member here.
Yep my Local hobby shop guy still never got his Original Sherman book.
I guess Pat never made enough to reach out to the Midwest.
So on that Son Of Sherman any time soon?

Guys, MMIR is one of the best magazines out there. And yes, the time frame in which it comes out is somewhat questionable, but two MMIR's - the 88 book and Allied Axis all at one time, should tell you that Pat is working his tail off. Time will tell, so for now lets just give him a break and wait for the next issue.

I love their Mag MMIR and wait with excitement for each issue. I do buy a subscription to support them as much as I can.

I like their magazine as well and normally buy each issue when I see it at the hobby shop.
