i'm planing, writing a review about the Tamiya kit: Russian Army Assault Infantry.

i've experience that the Russian related models are not so populare by most modellers, while the prefere us and german stuff.

so i have wonderd, are there fellow modellers who want to see this review ?

with kind regards

Ditto Ditto and Do it!

If there is only one other person that it will help - its worth it. Plus you get the benefit of writing it and experiencing the process.

Not only were there two sides (including hte often neglected winning side) but many theaters. I've found doing 120MM plus figures has opened my interests to all eras (ACW-modern) and all WWII Theaters. I had never really though much about the British forces in the far east until I got an Imperial Gallery Figure in that area.
Please post it, we need all the variety we can get, not just "Sdkfz. More German Reviews, Ausf.E."

HI

Post a review
1) people like to know what's good and bad!
2) a lot of us build lots of stuff. I like to know what's good. Now, I tend to build mostly WW2, and mostly Western Allies and German. I have built a T34, and I can see doing some Soviet stuff in the future.
3) It's fun to write reviews!

Good luck
Andy

Dmd,

I spent two weeks traveling through Belgium in the summer of 1986 and got to know several fine Belgian beers. Duvel, Orval, Chimay, Stella, Jupiler, Old Hoegards (sp?), and the list goes on.

DMD, that was a good review!

As a general rule, we should make sure to give credit or attribution when we quote another piece of writing, to the author - in this case, the opening description is from the instructions in the Tamiya kit.

I agree with you about the look of the faces/heads - great observation. One thing that I noticed about this Tamiya kit which is different than the older ones I have purchased is that the heads are separated from the bodies - very much like Dragon kits. They probably have been doing that for a while but since I haven't been in the hobby too long, this was kind of neat for me to see. I am kind of conflicted - do you paint the heads before glueing or glue them to the body and then paint - modeller's choice. Either way, they have constructed it in such a way that it doesn't look like you will have too many problems with the look of that dreaded gap around the neckline when you attach the heads - at least from what I can tell.

Also, the srues/plastic are in the olive drab color.

Zvezda also makes a kit (Kit 3544) with four tank riders that are roughly the same size as Tamiya's if you want to add some variation from everyone else. I noticed their plastic is alot softer so you have to be alittle more careful when constructing them.

Anyway, keep up the good work! GR8Voyager

hi

thanks for the kind words. mostly i use the introduction wich is included in the tamiya box. when i first did that i used a lot of privacy statement stuff and SIC tamiya etc etc... but the where skipped true the progress.
On the other hand, there's no indication of the writher and this site is not responsable for what there viewers submit so....
even if they track me i'm long gone

about those head, well i call it the new Tamiya style it started around 1997... about those heads, well first i paint the head and then fix it to the boddy ... but offcores that's my chose and it always give's me good results

about the colour of the sprue's well, all my tamiya boxes are imported from germany and i've noticed that some prues could have diffrent colours so i don't want to confuse people
0:-)

thanks for your kind words

cioa and bye bye
