With ALL due respect, I was just wondering if anyone had any problems buying stuff from like Hobby Link Or Lucky Model.Com. Why I question this is because I noticed while registering with Lucky Model.com that Comcast, and Yahoo, plus a few others have BAN them. Um, that's who I use, so, any experience you've had would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
EasyOff

Thanks Mark!! Its so hard to find all the figures you want at one location! The civilian figures I see in Military Miniatures are killin' me trying to find them.

Hi Easy Off,

I usually order from Squadron, excellent service and if you ask when ordering on the toll free number they will tell you if what you have asked about is in stock or not. If it is in stock, it usually a 10 day deal and I have it in the PO Box. I have also used Pacific Front Hobbies, again, if he has it in stock it will get to you in about two weeks, if it is a back order, well, I have recieved stuff from him up to six months after placing the order, but he does cough it up. Most recently I have used Internet Hobbies. While they usually ship items poste haste sometimes they will add a few bucks to cover shipping over what you have already paid. They do have sales regularly as does Squadron which makes the prices even with shipping usually cheaper than what it is in the local hobby shops, not to mention their selection is usually a lot better and more varied.

I have also ordered direct from Toms' Model Works and Gold Medal Models for Photoetched Accessories. I can highly recommend them both. Tom and Loren are great to do business with and will send their stuff to you so that you get it within a week.

Thanks Joe and Dave, you've helped a lot.

Dave, ya, I've been surfing the sites and you're right, they do have a plethera of stuff. But NO place has everything that I wanted all at once.

Just be aware that there is a big difference between "AVAILABLE" and "IN STOCK"

Amen.....They are my #1 choice for on-line purchases. My stuff has always been delivered in two or three days after my order was placed. However, I live in the same state they do so take that with a grain of salt.

I have Comcast as ISP and have had absolutly no problems with Asian connections such as Lucky Models,HobbyEasy,or HobbyLinc. Sometimes they get flooded with local traffic or our side of the 'big water' is busy and connections get difficult. This is just temporary and little can be done but wait for a better time. All 3 are top notch by me!
Cheers!

I have Comcast as well and recently placed an order with Lucky Model and nothing happened to interfere with it. Are you sure it's a Comcast thing or are you getting an Internet Explorer warning message that there are security issues with the site? A screen will come up and say it is recommended you do not proceed to the site and then gives a general reason why. I don't use Yahoo so I'm not sure what's up there. I have had Comcast for many years (and Insight before them) and don't remember ever seeing a banned site. I have also visited Hobby Link without issues.

I've used HLJ and Lucky Model several times, and thought they provided great service. Never a problem with either.

I live in a neighboring state, and two days is the average for me. More than half the time, my order is shipped the day I ordered it. Gordon is setting the standard for on-line customer service, no doubt about it. I always check to see if he has what I want first, before looking elsewhere.

Cheers,
Mike
