What can I use in place of a decal setting solution. I am freshly out and need to apply a couple of decals. Any thoughts?

I've read of people using white vinegar to get their decals to snug down. When I smell the bottle of solution that I have, it certainly smells of vinegar.

You might want to test it on some scrapyard kit first just to make sure you have the dilution about right.

I was asking about Microsol the first time I used it for decals. It smelled suspiciously like vinegar and I was wondering if I just got ripped off and sold another product in a fancy modelling bottle that I could have just found in my kitchen.

I am Chemical Engineer, the testors decal set solution is like a synthetic vinegar, i even tasted it... Then ran a chemical breakdown,,, Its not orgranic (vinger) but chemcally very similar....Microset smells the same to me...

Just like Tire Rubber is syenthetic, but, looks, smells and acts like natural rubber...
