Hey guys, I have a favor to ask; I have a friend in Houston whose grandson just started building models last year. He is strictly, 1:35 WWII, and I am trying to give him pointers via e-mail. Can you guys recommend a couple of decent hobby shops in the Houston metro area? Any of them carry Vallejo paints? Any help you can give me would be super.

Since Hobby Island closed, in my opinion, Houston does not have a hobby shop that caters to 1/35 armor modelers. To my knowledge, none of the few remaining local hobby shops carries Valejo paints. At the recent Houston IPMS contest, several members of the Houston Armor Club approached the representative of Texas Art Supply in the vendor area about carrying both Valejo and Tamiya paints. I have not followed up yet to see if they consider that a feasible proposition.
