I was making breakfast for the munchkins and took out the eggs. They are not in the typical foam board packaging.
They are in a clear styrene type plastic - more along the lines of the stuff used to package toys, but a bit stiffer. It is very similar to the clear plastic styrene by Evergreen.
There is large section on the lid that you can use for lots of different things.

This is a good tip. I have seen those containers in the supermarket but never really though about using them this way.

Some of this stuff can be heated and press formed to replicate canopies.

I'm always on the look out for clear plastic from packaging. Lots of stuff comes in "blister" packs that leave you with a good chunk of clear material. Very useful for making replacement canopies if you happen to wreck your first one.
