Then that's all he had to do in a return e.mail to me? Give me a link???
Perhaps he should look at a US based printing house instead of using Asia !

Where is the new MMiR?

It is on the way!
Some of you may wonder why certain parts of the world have the new double issue and others, let's say, I don't know... THE ENTIRE WESTERN HEMISPHERE, don't have theirs?
Well, it seems that our ocean freight was delayed, but the smaller, air freight orders within Asia were not. The ocean portion is the lion's share of the print run and therefore must travel by container due to its size and weight. We have had some reoccurring customs issues that I won't bore you with here. These issues are now resolved and we have been assured that these issues will not affect any future publications. Needless to say, are living in an environment of extreme caution when it comes to the passage of goods from one country to another.
It is never our intention to have anything other than a simultaneous release worldwide.
Our west coast mailing house is standing by to process all the subscriber issues once they arrive. This method works much better than having them mailed locally, giving them a week or more head start on the larger shipments. Due to the weight of the double issue (1 pound, 3 ounces), they will all travel by Bound Printed Matter rate, which is essentially First Class for printed items.
I will have a modest quantity of the double issue for sale at AMPS and subscribers may pick their copies up there. Please contact me off-board to arrange this, as I will have a limited supply.
We are working hard to return to schedule and all three of our most imminent publications are now being printed. These are Allied-Axis 20, The Eighty-Eight (Visual History 3) and MMiR 44.
Sincerely,
Pat Stansell

Well if you go back to the link, we were promised, MMiR 44, April 25...
But then if you read it carefully, he doesn't give you a YEAR ...
what a joke eh?
Perhaps the big double issue hasn't been fully read by the customs folk on the West coast yet?

Just as an update. Both Great Models and Squadron list the double issue of MMIR in stock. I am a subscriber and nothing in my mailbox.

Have any subscribers received their copy of the double issue? It still has not arrived at my house here in Houston.

It has arrived in our mailboxes here in Columbia SC at last.
NO explanation or apologies within the covers regarding the delay??
On another note, if you read the fine print to the side of the editorial, it is still claimed that it is published quarterly...........Take that with a pinch of salt....No more up front (subscription) money from me I can assure you...It has taken almost 3 years to get 4 copies, you do the Math.

I'm still waiting for my issue. If it doesn't show up by next weekend I'll send MMIR an email. This wouldn't be the first time that I didn't get my copy without contacting Pat.

My copy arrived today. While I haven't had much of a chance to look through it what I've seen looks impressive. I'm glad this is a three day weekend - I'll have some spare time to get my fill of reading about models (and hopefully work on some too).

Mine arrived on Monday. I have not had the time to do more than quickly scan through it, but it looks impressive. But, considering I subscribed just under a year ago after Hobby Island closed and this is the first issue I received on that subscription, I will see what Mr. Stansell does to improve the publication schedule on my two remaining issues before I re-subscribe.
