Has anyone experiance with this company? I am considering ordering from them, but I seem to remember some bad press. Any comments?

The prices are pretty good, but I think there are some communication problems. I never got a comfirmation e-mail for my order, and their 'order status' feature needs work. It said 'processed' a week after I submitted my order, and when the thing was shipped it said 'processed' again though the dates did change. I got my model in 3 weeks. (by the way, it was an in stock item)
Bottom line; If you you can stand to wait, you shouldn't have much problem ordering something. Their prices are good, and the selection is fairly large. Personally, I wouldn't order an out of stock item from them them, but if it's a model I want and in stock I can wait the three weeks.
I know that others have ordered from them more, so don't consider only my account.

I've ordered from them many times. Only one glitch during Christmas season. Had to wait an extra 2 days for my order. Overall, I think they are very good.
Plenty of in stock items. Decent prices. I usually have a 2 week wait.
I agree with Yoda, their order status feature needs work. Not updated often enough.

Very good service, although any items on an order that aren't in stock slow the process down a lot.

They screwed up once (missing an item), and made good very fast.

All problems seem to have to do with growing pains, and a phone call to them is the solution if there are problems.
Don't rely on e-mail for post-order customer support.

My package is finally on the way,out of stock items most of what I ordered wait of about 3 to 4 weeks.

I've ordered from them several times in the past year, and haven't had any real problems. As has been said before, they have very good prices, and their selection is large. I do find it mildly irritating that they say they have something in stock, only to show up on your order status as, "searching for item". But, I have to say, if you can wait a few weeks, and have some patience; they will get your items. IMHO, they are an excellent company to do business with. I know I will be ordering from them again...and again...and again.

I saw the bad press recently, too, but the one time I had a problem (mine, not theirs) I called them, and spoke to a very nice man who helped me out immediately. I think the lesson there is, if possible, call instead of email with a problem.

Sorry I thought I had missed the name. I have not seen any kit's herre in Texas by them. I have looked at thier site though and it looks like a pretty decent company. You also seem to give it pretty good ratings so I guess that it is okay.

CF, Great Models is a very good company to deal with, I just placed an order last weekend. Been using them for about a year now.

I've always had good, speedy, service from Great Models. No complaints here...

I had read some bad press on them. But I plan to place an order this weekend.

Got my first order today from them took 4 weeks did not have my Gunze sanyo paint in it. Told me they would include it in order. On first Attempt with this company they get a 4 out of 10 stars bad website does not update,the site says it has it but you go and call sorry we are out of that after posting 100% at site best thing is to call them. their website how can I say this SUCKS thats the word thats comes to mind sorry for the French.
