Cripes I think I own a colour from every paint company, both enamels and acrylics.

I mostly use acrylics but have used enamels on occasion...

i have used Humbrol enamels mostly, but have started using Tamiya acrylics more and more for airbrushing only. I still detail paint, and dry brush using humbrols. Washes are oils and enamels. Most figures are painted in enamels totally.
I use cheap spray cans of enamel paint for priming for everything.

Oy! May isa pang pinoy dito! :-)

I use what ever is available - acrylics, enamels, lacquers. For acrylics, Tamiya (as this is the most widely available acrylic paint in Manila). I have used Academy enamels (which is a poor copy of Tamiya's - down to the bottle shapes! - and they suck IMO), Tamiya, and Model Master enamels (used to be available). For lacquers, Tamiya for spray cans, Gunze for bottles (actually, according to the Gunze catalog, they don't have lacquers but rather two types of acrylics - the Mr. Color - which is for all intents and purposes is really lacquer IMO - and the other - I think it's Mr. Acrylic).

For now, I do most of my painting in Gunze lacquer (or acrylics - what ever you wish to call it :-) ) or Tamiya acrylics, while for most detail painting I use Tamiya enamels. I cover it all up using Gunze clear coats (the flat clear coat I must say is very temperamental - it could ruin - and it has done so several times for me - a good paint job).

I like MM acrylics for airbrushing with Grunze Sanyo once in a blue moon. For hand-painting, Tamiya and MM acrylics; Tamiya glues my airbrush nozzles shut 15 seconds into any job, but it covers really well from a brush. Artists' oils for figure faces and washes. Every once in a while, a small accent will be painted with artists' acrylics borrowed from my wife's collection.
