Did anyone see that new fighter produced by Iran called Saegheh (Thunder) ? It is twinned tailed and said to be as capable as an F-18.
Could they really have produced something that sophisticated?

It's basically a development of the old F-5 with twin tails. It may well be very cpable but I don't think that the F/A-18 comparison is likely to be more than hyperbole given those origins.

This is a photoshopped image of the Iranian F-5 and the new Seagheh. It was not done by me, but by someone on another forum I frequent.
The new fighter is on the left. It seems all they did was slightly modify their F-5s with a new tail. And, well, that's about it.
Here are a few more images by the same person.

Very interesting, David.
It seem like it is pretty limited adaptions they have made to this aircraft. The whole idea of Iran producing a fighter jet is more a propaganda stunt than reality....
Thanks for sharing.
