Some of you may remember me saying that I was hoping to start a modelling course, funded by North Nottinghamshire College. Well I had a phone call the other day asking me If I was able to start the course on the 8th May, I said yes :-) Unfortunately, due to the fact that I need to find work, I had to phone them back a couple of days later and, regretfully tell them that I couldnt last the duration of the course without work.
There is one glimmer of hope, I might be able to run it at a later date Damn I was realy looking forward to it

:-) Thanks guys, they were really up for it, it would have been a unique course, in the UK anyway.
Martin, I tend to believe the same, but things never seem to work out the way I hoped. I never give up though, there's always Armorama :-)

So sad you can't do the course, but wow the fact that the college was going to do it is most encourageing for our hobby.

What a pity that the course fell through. I bet there would have been a lot of interest from people to enrol as it seems to me that the hobby is more popular now than ever judging by the modelling sites I've visited online. Fingers crossed that there will be a chance for you to do it later, mate.

That sucks, I am sorry it didn't work out. I thought it was a good idea and was hoping it might catch on. I, for one, wouldn't mind a course like that over Pre-Calculus any day.
I hope you can pull it off later, let us know how things go. Good luck on your job hunting.

The course came about because I'm doing a course to gain a civilian teaching qualification. That course requires that I am doing at least 30 hours live teaching, as I wasn't my tutor put me in touch with the college department for courses. They liked the idea, so it was a goer. Unfortunately I've ran out of savings (been out of work since last September) so i'm desperate. Because I couldn't run the course, and therefore no hours, I thought I would have to quit the teaching course and therefore loose the oppertunity to run the course later.
However I spoke to my tutor today and he's come up with a plan for me to do a late submission of my work, so all is not lost, although it is a little precarious
Thanks for your support :-)
