OK, so I finally broke down and bought a new camera!!
The old HP Photosmart 3.1 MP (sans macros) was just not cutting it.

So I looked around, and found a camera for what i need, my wife needs (she does recipes on recipezaar.com and takes pics of the finished meal).
and for what our family in general would need, and I came up with the

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W80
7.2 mega pixels, 3X Optical zoom, Super Steadyshot, ISO3200, 2.5 LCD monitor, Face detection, with a Carl Zeiss lens.

I havent had a whole lot of time to mess with all the bells and whistles, but just with the basic macro function, I think this camera was a good deal ($244.00 at Circuit City).

as soon as I read the directions on how to download pics, i'll post some of the ones I've taken.
