I grew up in the Chicago area and joined the Army in 1987 as an infantryman. After finishing my 4 year enlistment I joined the Texas National Guard in Amarillo Tx. I attended West Texas A&M University in Canyon Tx where I studied Military History. In 2002 I returned to Chicago for health reasons, and because the job market was so poor at the time.
