A Scot in my late 40s, I have been model-making since my pre-teens, cutting my teeth on Airfix and Revell kits, then graduating to Matchbox and finally Italeri and Tamiya by my teens. I will build whatever takes my fancy at any given time, but my main areas of interest are "Thunderbirds" Japanese kits, 1/32 cars (static no slot) and British WW2 figures and Cold War British AFVs and softskins. While modern kits are well thought out and engineered, full of detail and with excellent accuracy, there's something nice about making a good model from a terrible kit.
