I am 31 years old married since 1999 to a wonderful lady, no kids yet, and live in the burbs a little outside of Raleigh, North Carolina. I had a very serious interest in, and worked on car models since maybe I was 13 or so. Unfortunately, at age seventeen I suffered from a major brain aneurysm that left all of my left side paralyzed for about a three month period. I eventually through physical therapy gain some use of my leg and arm but I still do about everything one handed including driving and modeling. Because of my aneurysm I quit modeling. But I am glad to report that about two years ago I bought a model in Wal-Mart and decided to give it a try. By then I had accomplished a lot doing things one-handed including, graduate school, college, doing landscaping around my house. So to make a long story short I struggle with that Revell model but I was hooked and the rest is history. I've been into first car, now military modeling, for the last two years. I found that car modeling was not as challenging as military modeling. Nevertheless, I still break out a race car kit from time to time. The lesson I�ve learned by having a physical disability and modeling if anyone wants to know? Is not to let any of your limitations keep you from enjoying this great hobby. I could never imagine my life now without a box of plastic parts and an airbrush.
