I started an earlier post on Flags of our Fathers and several folks recommended seeing Letters from Iwo Jima. I was reluctant to do so assuming that it was some weapy "all Americans are bad" film. Well, thanks to Netflick, I received the film yesterday and started watching it last night. I am overwhelmed, it is (so far) a beautiful film, well balanced and objective. More to follow when I complete it this weekend, but it is well worth the time to view.
