Does anyone know of a site that explains how this site bulletin board is set up?
Something along the lines of ----- for Dummies. Something online that is just the basics and concise. At the very least it would help me communicate my vision in terminology that could be understood. It may even help my search performance.

There is some info (albeit outdated) in the Forum FAQ link below, but I saw your post about having trouble searching for old posts. What particularly were you looking for and perhaps I can give some tips for similar searches next time around.

Cheers,
Jim

“In the Forum FAQ link below” If it was a snake it would have bit me-
I have copied the HTML and BB section to study and refer to, and now that I know what I am looking for, will look.

As far as the searches:

Most recently I was looking for a comment that I had made in one of the forums at the bottom of the forums page (spare parts ect.) in a thread that was about making false claims of veteran status, rank, medals, ribbons and devices. In which I referred to ADM Boorda’s situation. I wanted to refresh my memory on exactly what I had said now that I had more data.

The other one is unimportant but nags at me, I saw it shortly after joining and it could be anywhere. I am thinking on model geek or on a link that went outside. It was a thing on modified clothes pins. A small piece of wire was bent into an “S” shape and run through the back end of the clothes pin.

These are of very little consequence in themselves, but demonstrate my difficulty in searching anywhere out side of a card catalog or book index.
(I even have trouble with them on occasion!)
