Anyone use one of these for close up pics yet? Am thinking of getting one for model pics and all around general photos. The specs say it has 'folage'(macro?) mode but would like to hear a more experianced voice about it's close up quality. I can get this for a great price but I don't want to get something that won't work for my needs. Also, I'm a nooby to digital clicking so I can't go too wacko on features.
Cheers for shutterbugs!

I have the Canon A530 which has a good Macro mode, here's a shot of a 25 mm figure

and a 1/35 figure

and a 1/35 Dingo

Since the one you're looking at is two steps up from mine it should be good enough for your needs

Thanks Pat! They do look great. No problems with your 530? Happy overall?

Yeah, I get a lot of use out of it, I use it for work, home and hobby use and it's a good general use camera. I use rechargeable batteries. I've even dropped it a few times with no ill effects
