Just watched Stripes on tv, what a great film

My favourite part is the graduation ceromony with the rifle drill, pretty impressive!

Must have taken Bill Murray and the others ages to learn.

What is everybody's favourite part from this great film?

I loved that movie, bad thing is I dont remember too much of it because I had usually had a little too much to drink every time I watched it.
I do remember liking the RV alot.

Yeah that RV can take and give a lot of damage, shame they're not available to buy

The scenes in the Generals house are pretty funny. The whole RV thing is pretty good also.

Good as it is Stripes doesn't hold a candle to the masterpiece, Caddy Shack. That's got to be in my top 5 funniest movies list, along with Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Airplane, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Blazing Saddles---Talk about politically incorrect. Funny movie though.

I sold cars, new and used, for 10 years. We used to show that for meetings at least once a year and had a great laugh. The movie didn't really show it like it was, but we loved it anyway.

"Stripes" is one my favorites as well. While viewing it when it came out in '81, little did I now that I'd be getting off a bus in front of the same reception center 7 years later.

"Are either of you homosexual? Sorry, but I have to ask."
"No, but we are willing to learn. Will they send us someplace special?"

Classic.

That and when John Candy get off the bus and says "How you doing Eisenhower?"

I was doing my basic training in the Irish Army when Stripes was released and the whole platoon went to see it. We tried to learn that weird rifle drill they do at the passing out parade We were better at that than regular Irish Arms Drill
