The Department of the Army was recently commissioned to do a study and come up with potential proposal's to augment their armament and vehicular shortfalls if the funding the Army needed was voted down by the Democratic Congress.....................

Even though the proposal above got high marks from Congress regarding it's fuel efficiency and low dependance on fossil fuels, the ranking Generals in attendance felt the proposal was somewhat lacking in sufficient defensive protection.

Due to cutbacks, Challenger 2 and all other "AFVs'" withdrawn from service.
Latest in British Army defences ordered at Billions of pounds from "Thinktank" Czar.
Chancellor delighted and puts taxes up as defense capabilities can now be used elsewhere!
Last two British soldiers left "Non - Operational" in UK demonstrate new "state of the art" Home Defence equipment.
Due to be deployed in defense of British troops world wide asap...
Edit: Project now cancelled.
Last British soldiers/ airmen / sailors gave up in disgust so item not required. Chancellor crows in triumph as projected costs are met and raises taxes to help the disbanded British Forces emigrate.

Good news, the Congress and the House have finally agree on the Irag war funding bill.
Bad News, this is the total fiscal year 2008 deployment.
It doesn't take much to be better than nothing.

Newspaper Headlines : Mall Security Upgrades..
Security Guards at thr Franklin Cty Mall were seen today
demonstrating the latest weapon in thier ever growing war on crazed shopping carts, strange looking young people, and anyone who dares to park anywhere near a sidewalk. Guard Sgt I.P. Freely said "Forget towing those illegally park sods, Now we can blast them dirty bugger all the way to the junkyard.."
In a related story : Mall Mgr, and famed author of the book "Under the Bleachers " Mr C.More Butt, was heard to say that the security staff may be drinking way too much coffee.
Man this Christmas shopping season is going to be wild!

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have finally passed an Iraq War spending bill -
In a prepared statement Speaker Pelosi said, "We cut out the $24 billion in descretionary and the time table for troop withdrawl. We have even authorized funding for a new weapon system. Let President Bush veto this!"
