Well, I'm no expert but I would say that perhaps the person that lived here should seek some help:

The buildings owner said he was such a nice guy, quite, never complained, never caused trouble, and always paid his rent on time. It took the realitors several dumpsters to remove the cans.

One too many- a 1000's not enough---- OK that's- right it's light beer.

Some states have a 5 or 10 cent deposit on beer and soft drink containers. You pay the extra when you buy the product and get the money back when you return the empty to the store. There seem to be thousands of cans there so there's a good deal of money in that apartment.

Deposit laws have helped clean up the roads and streets where they have been enacted. Either the purcahser chooses to return the container for money back or if they toss them, others will collect the empties for the deposits. It also reduces the strain on our landfills.

We need that here in Tennessee - recycling is still pretty much laughed at. The city/town/village (whatever you want to call it) has a curbside recycling program in addition to 2 major recycling points in the area - I'm sure about 1% of the population actually bothers though...

Germany had a superb recycling system.

You buy a crate of 20 1/2 Ltr bottles of beer for say €13, drink the beer, take the crate full of empty bottles back and get a refund of €3...

Obviously this makes the next full crate (which you naturally buy on the way out) cheaper!

No cans, no cardboard, no waste.

Bottles, crates and even the beer get recycled.

I wen't through many crates a week to help the recycling effort.

You could probably turn in the aluminum here in Cali for several hundred $$ depending on the weight.
I'll bet they never get the "stale beer" smell out of that apartment

Cheers,
C.

I used to drink "Braumeister" in Germany.

Now I'm back in the Blight I just couldn't find a decent beer so I switched to Cider instead.

Whie out with some friends one night, I wound up drinking like 8 coors lights. On the way home, my freind who was driving got pulled over and failed the breathalizer. The cop told him if any of us in the car could pass, hed let them drive home and not give him the DWI. Well, I passed LOL The cop asked me "how much did you have to drink tonight?" i replied "8 Beers". Stunned he then asked "What kind of beer were you drinking?!?!" I smiled and said "Coors Light". The cop laughed and said "aww hell, thats for pregnant women!" LMAO

That room is so full of beer because thats how many it took the guy to get drunk a couple of times!

Be careful guys, where I come from insulting Coors is fighting words. Colorado Kool-Aide.

Doesn't look like a drinking problem to me. What is it they say, "I drink, I fall down, no problem."

Guinness Extra Cold=BEER

After the Great Britain Beer Festival, in London, all the brewery presidents decided to go out for a beer.
The guy from Corona sits down and says, "Hey Senor, I would like the world's best beer, a Corona." The bartender dusts off a bottle from the shelf and gives it to him.

The guy from Budweiser says, "I'd like the best beer in the world, give me 'The King Of Beers', a Budweiser." The bartender gives him one.

The guy from Coors says, "I'd like the only beer made with Rocky Mountain spring water, give me a Coors." He gets it.

The guy from Guinness sits down and says, "Give me a Coke." The bartender is a little taken aback, but gives him what he ordered.

The other brewery presidents look over at him and ask "Why aren't you drinking a Guinness?" and the Guinness president replies, "Well, I figured if you guys aren't drinking beer, neither would I."
