Either that, or if you are using smaller shot - like 8,s or below i use normal white pva glue - especially if filling a nose gone.
Can't help with the 72 scale tornado i'm afraid

I have been known to use Blu-Tak to fill the nose as well.

I noticed
Not to worry I'll show you how to repair the "slightly" melted nose on Tuesday. I did say I would.
P.S. Don't mention all your mistakes on here it'll make Sam and I look like really bad teachers.

I beg to differ, we're not bad teachers as both of us and half the model group suggested using super glue when you borrowed Sam's lead shot.
P.S is your kit still in the cabinet as I was going to have a look at your decals tomorrow after the full cup of water incident to see if they can be salvaged. If so we'll do our best.

Adam
Try looking here for a review. Not sure if there is one, but it may help in the future. I'm sure that Allen and Sam are good teachers - i've picked up tips from them.
Hope the nose cone comes out alright.

A airplane modeler friend of mine uses buckshot mixed with a little 2-part epoxy putty (A+B, Magic Sculpt, Duro, etc. It's not so gloopy as a glue mix, he can form it around nose landing gear wells, gun assemblies and stuff and it is sticky and stays in place.

I have a friend who uses low-temp metal. He melts the metal over a flame and simply pours it into the nose of the airplane.
